Visiting the charming village of Cambria on California's Central Coast is always a treat, but October is an especially enjoyable time. The weather is perfect and the sunsets are spectacular. And then there is the annual Scarecrow Festival presented by the Cambria Historical Society from October 1-31.
We recently spent a few days enjoying the unique displays created by the merchants and citizens of the village. The festival began in 2009 with 30 scarecrows. This year there are over 300.
I hope you enjoy this little bit of harvest humor from a few of the scarecrows at this year's festival!

This one is animated. The wheels on the bikes spin.
With all the scarecrows in town, you wouldn't think there would be a crow to be seen. But this one didn't seem the least bit scared. (excuse the blurry photo)
